So its Sunday night; Brazil vs Ivory Coast and Robinho's long distance effort inches the bar. Dad and I gasp.  Ok, so it was just over, but it instantly takes me back to Friday and I can't actually remember anything, close to a deep breath in, other than the shots Gerrard and Johnson took against James (our own Keeper).

Where to start...  What is the matter with us? We are clearly frustrated and Rooney more than most, but where does he get off, blasting all those that have spend hard earned money to go support their country? Come on, you dont bite the hand that feeds you.

In an interview today, Terry failed to light the passion, but he claims the camp is in good spirit and they are all behind Capello. But why cant we perform?  If we are to believe the reports - that we are looking strong in training - why is it we can't do it on the day? And is it no surprise that the same debates are sweeping the pubs across the country, the starting line up?  Why are Gerrard and Lampard still playing together? The duo of Rooney and Hesky clearly lacks flair and imagination. Bring on Defoe and Crouch, they play and train 24/7 together.

But the biggest question has to be, where on earth is Joe Cole? I speak for the four guys I was drinking with down the pub on Saturday - Capello, please, it's time to unleash him...

Well, what's done is done and thanks for ruining my weekend, England, but let's look ahead to Wednesday where all we need is a win.  I say 'all' with a great dependency, but it's either that or an embarrassing early exit and I'm not ready to take down my flags.  It's been a rocky start but let's be fair, we're not the only big nation to stumble in these early stages.

I'm confident and the frustration clearly flows through the England camp, but it's time to look at the job ahead.

Come on ENGLAND...you owe us a win!

For those of you who would rather fry your faces on a George Foreman grill than suffer 90 minutes of testosterone-fuelled shouting (and how very dare you…), head on over to Kate’s column and complain about it all instead.
