Stacks launches the Good Agent to Buy from Awards

As part of its 30th Anniversary celebrations, property search agent Stacks is launching the Good Agent to Buy from Awards (GABAs).

The GABAs were launched at an event on the 27 March 2014 and will be rolled out over Stacks Property Search's 30th anniversary year.

Stacks says the awards are not a competition - they will be awarded on the grounds of proof of good service generated by the public. However, there will be prizes for the best submissions from members of the public.

Stacks represents buyers of property, and has been helping clients buy property from estate agents for 30 years. The agency says the GABAs are the company's way of recognising the excellent service that most estate agents deliver.

James Greenwood, managing director of Stacks Property Search, said: The UK, without doubt, has the best estate agents in the world and also the cheapest - in most countries outside the UK, you will be charged at least three times what your UK estate agent might bill you.

So the GABAs are a way of demonstrating the great job that most estate agents do in handling property sales, and recognising those that are outstanding.

Estate agents in the regions covered by Stacks will be invited to take part in the awards. They will be encouraged to ask their applicants and previous buyers to send in a story, anecdote, picture, poem, video etc. etc. demonstrating how the agent went out of their way to help them.

Submissions will be collected and collated centrally by Stacks - and uploaded to the Stacks website. The closing date for entries is Friday 3 October.

Any agent deemed to have been judged to be a Good Agent to Buy from will receive an award, and will be able to use the GABA logo.

The members of the public who, in the eyes of a small judging panel, have made the most creative and valuable submission will receive a first prize of £500, second and third prizes of £150 and £100. These prize winners will be announced on Friday 31 October.
