Bradford Bulls rugby league captain Matt Diskin is tackling a new challenge by launching his own estate agency - with an extra twist, asking clients to pay him the fee they think he deserves.

He is opening Westfield Estates with a shop-front branch in Gomersal, West Yorkshire, pulling together a team of negotiators with over 50 years experience.

He has a no sale, no fee promise if no buyer or tenant is found; he also sets minimum and maximum fees for vendors and landlords and says they can choose which to pay based on the experience they encountered, assuming their property is purchased or rented.

The hugely successful Diskin, a Great Britain and England international hooker who also won four Super League championships with Leeds Rhinos, says our rivals have fallen short and are continuing to do so in the area of customer service.

This is why he claims he is putting customers first and they themselves can judge us on via the fees they choose to pay us. Diskin also runs Aquabright Ltd, a commercial and industrial cleaning service in the Yorkshire area.

"...he also sets minimum and maximum fees for vendors and landlords and says they can choose which to pay based on the experience they encountered, assuming their property is purchased or rented."

    SERIOUSLY

It all started with a certain Mr Wells stating he allows his clients to chop and change at the drop of a hat - now this ridiculous approach.

Blimey - I don't know what's in the water in Yorkshire but the bu99ers can't even negotiate themselves a decent fee - so what hope do their vendors have of them negotiating a best price
