An industry magazine has named Britain's top 15 residential agents, with the honours going almost exclusively to senior figures in high-end companies.

The Property Week list contains only one woman and the agents are from only eight firms in total; almost all appear to be London-based.

Gary Hersham of Beauchamp Estates - which sells multi-million pound homes in Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Belgravia and other parts of central London - was nominated the top agent. Hersham was the victim of a carjacking last year when four men allegedly attacked him, stealing his watch and other possessions.

The full league table is as follows:

1. Gary Hersham, Beauchamp Estates

2. Dominic Grace, Savills

3. Justin Gaze, Knight Frank

4. Peter Burns, CBRE

5. Trevor Abrahamsohn, Glentree

6. Mark Collins, CBRE

7. Peter Murray, Jones Lang LaSalle

8. Chris Lacey, CBRE

9. Ian Marris, Knight Frank

10. Mark Famer, EC Harris

11. Tim Whitmey, Savills

12. Andrew Frost, Jones Lang LaSalle

13. James Mannix, Knight Frank

14. Lisa Hollands, CBRE

15. Adrian Owen, BNP Paribas Real Estate

A lot of those on the list aren't your typical Estate Agents. They are predominantly the heads of developments in residential and have a hand in transactions that involve acquisitions and house builders consultancy type work. They aren't high street Traditional Agents. That doesn't mean that they aren't doing a good job and delivering for their clients though.

With all respect to those on the list, there are Estate Agents up and down the country who could quite probably outsell and outperform them in all disciplines bar value of sales or income generated.

Put them into an office on a high street in a northern town, selling on 15k OTE. Let's see how they get on.
