Most Estate Agents give plenty of thought to their window and internal displays but there is another 24 hour advertising medium that may receive less consideration - the A-board. Although some Local Authorities may not allow their use, for most Agencies an A-board can be used as part of their marketing activity - and they offer a low-cost opportunity to make an eye-catching brand-building sales-boosting impact.

Here are some great tips for making the most of any A-board

Today the humble A-board comes in many different styles and materials so it is easy to pick one that is in keeping both with your brand and with the locale.
Make sure you're A-board gets noticed by updating it regularly.
Printing is getting cheaper all the time so make sure you get posters professionally printed and branded or use a chalk board-style board if you want to go for a more personal handwritten' style
As we say in the A-board sector its all about location, location, location so think carefully about the best position for the board - one that gets noticed by those who perhaps don't usually pass your brilliant window displays. If there are multiple locations try multiple boards (subject to any Council constraints of course)

Using an A-board offers lots of marketing opportunities. Perhaps the first option is to list the week's new sales or rental listings, sstc or lets as an encouragement to potential vendors and landlords. You can also list the services offered by the Agency. But you can also be a bit bolder and use the opportunity to add some wit, humour or even philosophy as these examples show. Why not use the board to demonstrate your local knowledge, commitment to local events or promote your charitable or community activities This will all get you noticed and talked about where it matters - in the local area that you rely on for business.
