The Great Zoopla Cycle Ride of this summer has so far raised £70,000 and is still hopeful of making its £100,000 target. All agents are being asked to continue to pledge support and make donations.

The ride was in aid of the Estate Agency Foundation (EAF) to support charities for the homeless.

Agents were invited to join in any of the stages which altogether totalled 2,012 miles in 32 days.

The EAF said yesterday it would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to the cycle team of Jon Cooke, Sean Newman, Martin Farrington and Sam Lindley.

The whole event saw the team joined by over 100 cyclists in 32 legs, and over 125 estate agency offices were visited, over 1,000 cakes were eaten and thousands of photographs taken.

The trio endured injury and torrential downpours to reach the finish line in Exeter on August 29.

Shelter is on the list of EAF beneficiaries, but yesterday a spokeswoman for the Foundation, in answer to a question as to whether Shelter would still receive money in view of its stance on letting agent fees, said that no decision had yet been made on the money’s distribution.

There are two ways to donate, either online at www.justgiving.com/The-Estate-Agency-Foundation or text Bike32 to 70070.
