The questions on everyone’s lips this morning – or at least among those who attended last night’s AHIPP dinner – are:
Why did housing minister Iain Wright fail to turn up?
And did it have anything to do with the fact that he had been due to sit next to Estate Agent Today’s very own Rosalind Renshaw?
Secondly, and even more important, was the entertainment, in the form of a talk by Coronation Street’s William Roach, up to the normal standards?

He didn't turn up because in ministerial style (Yvette Cooper was it)he probably got lost finding his way there. Not like us agents where we have more difficulty finding the way home!
William was an excellent choice. At last somebody who speaks the Queen's english, no blasphemy and more importantly, no mention of HIPs. Well done the oganiser, Paul Broadhead.
We understand it to be that if you market a property without an EPC, irrespective of whether or not you have written to your client, then the Agent is in breach of the legislation and can also be fined.
dont worry Heather & Jayne if you have written to vendors re epc if they ignore they are liable not estate agents
Is anyone having problems getting their existing vendors to have the epc carried out? Causing us girls a nightmare with endless chasing, ...........! Its a tough enough market as it is without this .........!
Can't believe HIPS hasn't been scrapped ! By the way, we have started pushing our own website to cutdown on endless advertising costs
I have 2 offices with R/M & will cancel before the end of the year
What on earth is AHIPP? The Association of Hugely Increasing Property Portals?
ripoffmove, you are starting to get VERY annoying now!!! Every news item posted has one of your posts under it, despite polite requests to stop spamming. I think we all get the picture as to what you plan to do, so please - stop bombarding the site with the same message!!!!
