Winkworth has merged with a local agent in Exeter.
Although Winkworth will be the sign above the door, the amalgamation means that current Winkworth directors Simon Scott-Nelson and Christopher Baker have equal footing with Oliver Hale of Solo Property Services.
Solo was started by Hale in 2005 and has grown to become a successful business, particularly in lettings and property management.
Scott-Nelson said: “The decision to make this change was relatively easy as the benefits were immediately apparent.
“There is an obvious synergy between the two businesses – the Solo Property Group has a strong and established lettings presence with a smaller sales presence still in its infancy, whilst Winkworth has the exact opposite.”
Winkworth Exeter is operating from the previous Solo Property offices in the city centre.
