A new centralised rent chasing service is to be launched to UK letting agents by rental entrepreneurs Wyn Griffiths and Glyn Trott.

The Cardiff-based pair run lettings software firm LetMC.com and also Pinnacle letting agency.

The rent chasing scheme has been piloted at Pinnacle branches in Cardiff, Newport and Treforest in South Wales.

It reminds tenants that their rent is overdue via texts and follows this up by personal phone calls aiming to collect payment by card. The scheme also liaises with landlords to keep them up to date with the payment situation.

Trott said: “Rent chasing can’t be an afterthought in these tough financial times. Our new rent chase service will help agents keep on top of what is often a difficult task.”

I'm sceptical, but not quite as cynical as you Jim! I already pay for someone to do my rent chasing, so I guess the question is....HOW MUCH?

Doomed to failure. Agents WILL NOT pay for this.
