Two in five home-movers (38%) believe that UK house prices will not change this year.

The proportion predicting house price status quo has risen for the fifth consecutive quarter.

However, almost as many (32%) believe prices will go down, while 24% believe prices will rise.

Consumers with the strongest belief in rising prices are Londoners, and those with the greatest belief that house prices will fall are in the south-west.

Rightmove questioned 28,000 people online earlier this month.

I agree with the 38%, personally.

Sounds very obvious, but you have to see some movement in the market before you will see prices rise.

    First things first, eh?
