Footfall – or its lack – into agents’ shops continues to be a fraught talking point, but the issue is not stopping some businesses from investing heavily in the look of their offices.
Ward & Partners – part of the Arun Estates Group and Kent’s largest independent agents – have just completed a comprehensive rebranding exercise.
In the last three months, all 44 Ward offices across the county have been completely transformed, with new logos, furniture and full-length photographs of local landmarks.
David Lench, managing director, said: “Relatively speaking, 2011 was a very successful year for us, with an increase of around 2% in instructions and 2.5% in sales. Nevertheless, market research revealed that while our old image was very familiar to the people of Kent, it was overdue for an update.
“Clearly, what we needed was a radical overhaul of our visual identity, particularly to engage with the younger segment of the market – so fresh colours, which would render as well online as in the more traditional media, were a primary requirement.”
The change, he said, has been enthusiastically received by managers and staff right across the network.

It would appear the 'Designer' is colour-blind. This scheme makes me feel nauseous. I don't think this combination of colours could be considered inspirational! Back to the drawing board perhaps?
