Radar Homes team goes on the road to meet agents |
Friday 17th February 2012
The team behind property portal Radar Homes has announced a busy schedule of local visits to meet agents and talk about the business.
The meetings will also provide insights into internet marketing, training on SEO, social media and website trends.
Although the original umbrella company of Radar Homes, Home Swap, has gone into liquidation, the portal has stressed that it is very much business as usual.
Meetings, to which both non-Radar users as well as members are invited, are planned for Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol/Bath, Bournemouth, Salisbury, Horsham and Coventry over the next few weeks.
Anyone who would like more information should email: admin@radarhomes.co.uk

Rosalind,
Industry Observer is absolutely right, this sort of stuff should not be on your site - it is spoiling it. Please get rid.. |
| | Apologies for poor spelling, i sent this via iphone and have fat fingers! |

Pete Henderson - I think the point is that this site is normally used to convey information that is relevant to estate agents and may be of public interest, the first part of your story/classified ad is fine. It's interesting to see you've done what rightmove have been doing for 3 years and organising seminars although i doubt the contact could match. This is no disrrespect to you but they are industry leaders with more history, development and information than you. If i wanted to learn about cola i would go to a seminar run by Coke not Netto's own brand cola.
The link and your riduculously long comment/sales pitch is obviosuly designed to encourage people to contact you and drum up business. No matter how much chest puffing you do and denials you make this was clearly the point of the article and i am amazed it has been allowed to run by EAT. If rightmove or DPG Group tried to do this i'm sure everyone would be up in arms. The again they don't have to, as the can pay for advertising. |
| | Indusrty Observer , well said, others do it and they tend to show they are very poor set ups, eg INEA |

@ Pete Henderson
Pete this is meant to be a forum, along with LAT, for discussion on industry issues of wide interest. Forgtive me but your post is nothing but a scandalous free adverising ride. Just answer me this one question. The article which in itself I suppose is OK but is again simply self-interest selling and promotion, ends with an emaoil address to use for more information. So why then publish what is obviously that information in an enormously long post giving agendas and dates and goodness knows what else? I just don't see EAT or LAT as the forums for these kinds of articles frankly, but for certain not your follow up post. How much free advertising do you want? |

I don`t understand all the bad comments ?!?
Rightmove just call us when the prices are going up or when they are trying to screwing us for another £60 for a facebook app or putting our logos on the site. etc RadarHomes have been proactive in my area and have most of the tools RM want to charge me a fortune for, so I for one am saving money with them. For anyone else just stick your head in the sand, Rightmove might bring there prices down if you leave it there long enough !!! |

Pete Henderson. In answer to 'industry observer' as an observer of the property 'industry' I would have thought this is exactly what you would want to observe?
The steady progress of a small but growing Property Portal which is agent owned giving control of on line marketing back to the agent members? You are more than welcome to come along to any of our meetings and see for yourself the valuable info into all things 'internet' and newspaper that Radarhomes provide in conjuction with our technology partners. |

Well, I have to say that they seem to be getting about a bit.
Their site is linked to by 307,000 other websites. Rightmove is mentioned on other websites over 85 million times. That's a mountain to climb. Good luck |

Surely this blatant sales pitch should be removed - article and Pete Henderson's post. Why have an email contact foot of the article, only for the information that an email would engender, to appear as a post? |
| | This looks interesting, actually. I think for RadarHomes it's sensible to broaden the touch points with agents to include general sessions and help on online marketing - shows an understanding that portals on their own aren't the be all and end all. |
| | Bit like Rangers then bust, then oh no we have not just mugged some debt away. |
