PeeBee, you wouldn’t believe what’s going on down-tut-south where I am, anyway wont bore you with it.

Interesting point you make. It just goes to show any stats taken from RM and used by the Mr Pryors/Hendrys of this world just need to be discounted by default. Rm stock is literally all over the place at the moment.

wardy: That practice must be something local to your neck of the woods, mate - nowt dodgy like that goes on 'oop north'! ;o)

See where you're coming from, though...

I wonder where Henry Pryor would include those properties in his next thrilling instalment of "only (insert a number - ANY number) percent of properties will sell this year..."?

No doubt Mr Hendry will say they are blatantly overvalued by filthy capitalist Agents and Vendors. (Clue, Mr Hendry - the word 'SOLD' kinda blows your argument...)

Will Hicks will claim they are all his and he bought them for seventeen shilling and sixpence last week, painted the walls baby-sick beige and made four million percent killing on them - now wants to buy the next lot for fifteen bob...

And me? - I'll just politely suggest that the Agent obviously undervalued their impeccable service and should have charged an extra half-percent - which would have covered the office leccy bill for a quarter! ;o)

It's a funny old game, innit?

I like it! I'm trying to get away from the boring details at the moment, and put a bit of fun into it!

Can't see many of my vendors letting me get away with it though...

wardy: Mate - chill out! If this is what three-day weeks do to you then I'm pleased you normally work all the hours nature sends...

Firstly, the property may well have been listed when available; secondly, SSTC properties do not 'clog' searche results UNLESS you tick the box!

Save your pent-up ire for Hendry. At least you know HE deserves it... ;o)

    Onwards and upwards, mon ami...

Amusing details ot not, he leaves a lot to be desired.

There's only one thing about Mr Green, he's not much of an estate agent as he can't be bothered to phone you back when you show an interest in property he has for sale. I was looking to invest in the area for a buy-to-let or holiday home.

This happened to me last Summer and he had no idea I was an Estate Agent myself. Haven't bothered with him since as plenty of agents in the Bournemouth area have given me good service.

    Shame on him!

Hmmm... MANY have done this before - Julian Bending, Ian Bebbington, and of course Roy Brooks, who was credited with being the original 'honest' Estate Agent, to name but a few of the more successful.

My mate Bebbo even had a book published containing his better efforts (a seriously hard call for the editor I imagine...). I seem to remember one fondly describing "...the beautiful shimmer of snail trails criss-crossing the lounge carpet..." or words to that effect.

'Mr Green' clearly NEVER expected the property to be sold as anything other than a building plot, and therefore sold it at a premium - so I would imagine the vendor was disappointed that the details were not MORE damning of the condition!!

That said - it made me chuckle. More please...
