Congratulations to agents Rupert Nicholson, Stephanie Brimacombe and Tom Williams who formed a team to take part in the 2010 Polar Challenge – and won!

The trio, from Tates Estate Agents in West Kensington, London, called themselves the Avilton Team.

Their challenge involved travelling on foot and ski across 300 miles to the magnetic North Pole, hauling their own sledges across snow and ice, and in temperatures of minus 70C.

They did it in nine days, 14 hours and 20 minutes, raising nearly £46,000 for Mencap.

The race is said to be one of the most extreme challenges in the most extreme of environments, and we think this was a brilliant effort.

The team are hoping to raise their contribution to Mencap to £50,000.

Fantastic to see that Agents are prepared to go no one, but 300 extra miles, to raise awareness of an extremely worthy cause - as well as raising the profile of the industry. Well done, the Tates trio - I hope your business flourishes as a result!
