The Property Ombudsman Scheme has grown substantially in the last year.

By the end of January, it had 7,351 firms signed up, representing a total of 13,069 offices.

At the same time last year there were 6,393 member firms representing 12,445 offices.

Of the latest figures, 10,593 offices handle sales and 7,270 cover lettings.

    In the same vein, HMRC have reported that tax revenue is up and quoted as saying people have to pay it because its the LAW

    These statistics, as presented, are meaningless because it is a legal requirement to register.

    Isn t it the LAW? I would nt be in it if didnt have to. Its just another stealth tax!!!
    Why dont they release figures of how pointless they are ,,woudl be 95% of agents signing up to that.
