The Estate Agency Foundation has announced that Mark Butler, who oversees property websites for local newspapers, has joined the board.

Butler is digital property manager for Local World (previously Northcliffe Digital and Iliffe News and Media).

With a portfolio of 63 local portal websites and a monthly audience of over 7 million unique users, plus 107 print titles, Butler hopes to be in a strong position to help spread the message of the EAF.

Butler is involved with a few other charities including Manchester Action on Street Health and the North West Air Ambulance.

The EAT raises money for homeless charities, which this year excludes Shelter. This year, its nominated charities are Thames Reach, Centre Point, Trinity Winchester, Hope4 and Doncaster Housing for Young People.
