Speakers are to include popular trainers Julian O’Dell and Clare Yates (formerly Fletcher), plus Jon Notley, the commercial director of Zoopla.

The event, which will observe a silence, is to be chaired by top auctioneer Gary Murphy, of Allsop.

What a great day it was!

    Julian O'Dell was exceptional.

Gary Murphy chaired the day with professionalism.

Clare Fletcher was great, as usual.

Zoopla and Homes24 gave great content.

Jupix talked about cloud computing and opened a few eyes!

Eric Woodhams of NHN spoke about how to NHN London Marketing Office wins instructions for it's members.

Allsops de-mystified the London auction scene and how fellow NHN members could work together with them.

In all, a fabulous day, with many a great things learned for me and my business.

Can't wait now for the next one in Spring 2012!

I'm sure all the agents who have taken the trouble to attend will be rewarded with a great day!

Looking forward to this conference tomorrow - It looks to be an excellent day with some top quality speakers booked.

Ahhh #Observation, I think you're onto something there!

Yes, I had thought that he was a 'youngster', but your detective work on his previous posts is indeed enlightening. He must be one of those Gullable Guild Lovers who love being fleeced by that organisation.

Truth is, there are quite a few estate agency networks out there, and you pays your money and makes your choice. For a good many professional agents, the NHN works.

Being fleeced by the Guild works for others. Have you seen the large houses the Guild management team live in, and the large cars they drive? Just a thought.

In these recessionary times I think I'd like to place my hard earned money with a network who actually are there for the members, not for themselves.

"Brian, I think you just like winding people up for a laugh?!"

If you follow Brian's posts he has a pop at any organisation and it's members, the only one he hasn't had a go at yet is the Guild, me thinks Brian is something to do with the Guild or is one of the last few EPC muggins that used to hang about here (He obviously hasn't found anything else to do yet) Possibly his jibe about cabbage and wee means he is younger and his apparent lack of respect means he is probably one of them Foxton Jonnies.

What are you on Brian? "Don't cover south of Liverpool"? They have a member agent in Chester, and to my knowledge that's just a little bit south of Liverpool!

I think you've been looking at the wrong networks website. The one you should look at is- NHNdotCOdotUK And yes, I've deliberately spelt it out like that in case one isn't allowed to post web addresses in these comments boxes.

Brian, I think you just like winding people up for a laugh?!

"Good peolple nice agents" but only if you are in some remote arae, hardly national if you dont cover south of Liverpool/.

Just Haarts in disguise. Shame when such nice folk!

National - They have agents in England, Scotland and Wales!

    Good agents. Nice people.

Can any organisation be "National" with no interest other than in the outer regions of the UK. This is the sort of “dubious” marketing that we normally would associate with Spicer Haarts.

Nice adverts, part of the package for suppliers?

And is Dolan Mullins a real name, has to be a handle?

Cabbage and wee, Curry and Friday Market "Hugo Bozz": we all pong of something!
I find that a faint whiff of sour grapes can be quite distinktive.

Archant homes24 is delighted to sponsor the National Homes Network conference and I look forward to meeting existing members, new members and industry support suppliers.

#Brian, perhaps the saying ‘never judge a book by the cover’ comes to mind, clearly you have formed an opinion, surely though it stands to reason that if an brand has traded over several generations would this not suggest they are doing something right? Tell you what come along as my guest to the conference and if you have not learnt anything by the end of the day I will give you £20 for your trouble out of my own pocket……just a thought.

AssuredSale are pleased to be exhibiting at this event.

With all the positive comments on here, it re-enforces what Eric told us about the NHM and we are looking forward to meeting everybody on Friday!

Brian, you are wrong with your views on the National Homes Network (NHN).

'Old' established and traditional agencies are indeed part of the NHN, as well as 'Young', vibrant new start-ups. It is exactly this mix that benefits both parties - each may learn from each other at such networking gatherings as this forthcoming conference, the training days, and the regional meetings.

The great thing about agency, and what I love, is that there is ALWAYS something to learn!

NHN provides a great network of similar minded Estate Agency professionals. I have found the conferences to be an invaluable source of information and ideas enabling us to move business forward.

Once again, Hazlewoods are really happy to be supporting NHN by taking a trade stand at the event. They are always very informative days and have a great group of people as members.

Oh, Brian, you are soooo funny. If you're too scared to include your surname before making your pithy remarks, man up and be proud of what you have to say!

Interesting membership if you visit their site, all old school, hardly dynamic guys. Most so old there will no doubt be a strong smell of cabbage and urine in the hall!

The NHN are really proactive in supporting their 'independent' members. We can't afford individually to get the training that the NHN can provide and for that our membership is worth it, let alone all the other membership benefits.

    Keep up the good work!

Dont worry about the National Homes Network. Worry about what Rightmove are doing. Do you know that they have started adding the marketing date on the rental pages for your properties along with the actual number of days that the property has been marketed. They say home searchers have asked for it

My advice is that you should make an urgent complaint.

When I complained they told me it was good for agents as we would be able to get asking prices down. Watch out as they will be publishing the same on sales properties if we let them....They seem to have forgotten who is paying their fees....

This event is always well worth attending, I always come away with a long list of tips and points to follow up to make my business even more efficient.

The National Homes Network conference days are always very infomative for independent agencies who do not easily have access to large corporate training events. It is also a great opportunity to network with agents from all corners of the UK to compare performance and discuss ideas and strategies.

I've attended many of the National Homes Network conferences (they put on two each year) as well as their low cost organised training days - they always have good content and are great value for money!

If you are looking to grow your business then I'd recommend getting involved with them.

By the way, they also have trade stand exhibitors at their conferences, so you can keep abreast of latest technology, products and services first hand.
