A new service which ranks properties for sale in London purely as investments has now listed over 600 homes since launching three months ago.

The rankdesk top 100 appears weekly and is put together independently from lists supplied by estate agents who sign up to the service.

It scores properties on a number of objective criteria, including location, likely yields, transport facilities and tenant demand.

Among the latest agents to sign up are Chesterton Humberts and Carter Jonas.

Savvas Verdis, CEO and founder of rankdesk, said: “We’re now analysing hundreds of properties on a weekly basis to produce our ‘London100’, and agents are seeing the benefits that this can bring, because an increasing number of buyers and investors are using rankdesk.

“As demand grows, we will soon be publishing weekly statistics on the combined quality and investment performance of stock in different London neighbourhoods.”

rankdesk was established following the observation that the central London residential market lacks an independent authority to review the quality and investment performance of properties. The aim is to provide independent reviews that help buyers make more informed decisions.

Because the public rankings are limited to the top 100 properties only, rankdesk also offers a bespoke report service, which is produced on demand. By inputting the URL link to any central London property, users receive a five-page analysis report on the property within 24 hours.

rankdesk is currently free to use, other than a £60 fee for a bespoke report. It also does not charge agents any fees for the analysis of their properties.

And in case you are a complete dork there are little children’s pictures that show you how they analyse it, somewhat patronising!

Can’t wait for the daft HPC brigade to latch onto this site!
