Here’s something to brighten your day – an absolutely hilarious video which demonstrates that estate agents know how to indulge in some heavyweight parody.
There are some classic lines in this gem, including some gloriously un-PC remarks about the boss’s recruitment policy, which according to James, the negotiator, who is surrounded by a sea of blondes, is faultless – but he also warns about that ‘synchronised time of the month’.
Oh, and there are some rude remarks about Balham.
There’s also some classic training footage featuring Charlotte, the manager, who is either a professional actress or missing her true vocation, and if TV bosses really want to find the next Phil Spencer, they can stop their search with James.
Under Offer is shot by Real Impact Productions, allegedly after following around a west London estate agent in Hammersmith for six weeks.
There are not too many clues as to who the agents actually are, and the Rampton Baseley sign being taken down by James in the interests of all being fair in love and war is a bit of a red herring. We hope Mr Baseley sees the joke but, given his own CV, we think he will.
In fact, it’s not hard to track down who the agent is, but why should EAT spoil the fun? Especially when we’re promised some more instalments.
We do have one question, though: what on earth is the video actually for? Is it really being circulated to the agent’s clients? Or is there some other purpose? EAT confesses to scratching her head.
You can find the video below, although it seems that most of the YouTube critics don't seem to realise it's, er, satire.
Enjoy!

Obviously had a great deal of time on their hands to make such a film. Funny? Yes. "Hilarious"? Not Quite. Let us be the judge. I didn't exactly wet myself.
It's like using "massive" when big is more than adequate, as it's the "in" word of the moment..
I think it shows how two-faced and absolutely useless EAs are.
I think you will find that this is a complete rip off from the series "People Like Us" made early 2000's late 1990's. It is a spoof in exactly the same format with even the same plots, Chris Langham narrates.
Those of you old enough to have seen it will remember it, if not research it. These young pups think they can pull the wool over our eyes. Afraid not, been done before and wasmuch better first time round as well.
Genius. Bloody genius.
Atrocious! Makes bankers look like saints.
Disappointed that my script has been so diluted by the producer. For sake of factual accuracy I had put much more foul language and sex into it, and you're all wrong about the firm! Filthy habit expurgation, by the way! Cheers, Big T.
Get the TV show made! Pure class......perhaps the EA crowd should be casted in it!
Very good, a little bit of everything in that. Is it to be made into a full series?
If the 'mystery agent' doesn't send it to their applicants - I might!
"Buyers are morons" Genius.
Why is the mystery agent using D&G notepads..... maybe they stole them? Another crime to add to criminal damage!
Nice,
Exactly what it’s like as well – very realistic, need more like this so the public know what its like behind the scenes
Didn’t disappoint on any level with accuracy and capturing the reality of the business
