The TDS appears not to be the only one raising its prices. One estate agent has criticised FindaProperty – part of the Digital Property Group which last week acquired a 50% interest in free-to-list portal Globrix – for hiking its subscriptions.

Having been paying £260 a month, the firm  – Peter Barry in Winchmore Hill, north London – says it will be hit by a phased series of increases, culminating in it paying £629 per month by early next year – an increase of over 140% in 12 months.

We have seen the correspondence detailing the price rises. It claims that FindaProperty offers great value to agents. “The Digital Property Group is the fastest growing property portal according to independent expert’s comScore; we are out-growing both Rightmove by 102,000 unique visitors and Property Finder Group by 224,000,” says the sales letter from Digital.

It goes on to quote a series of price hikes in February, June, September, December and March, and says that agreeing to this pricing immediately will save this particular firm £404.

We did invite FindaProperty to comment but their response was not available at the time of posting this story. However, we do hope to be able to update it.

Digital last week insisted that Globrix would remain a free site.

We pay £119 per month currently and have been told our price will rise to £579 per month 386% increase !! We've told them to go forth and multiply, which is what everyone should do.

It's funny isn't it...... the markets still pretty flat, stocks are low, e mail enquiries are down, so what does TDPG do ????? Up the rates.
I'm aware of 4 agents in central London that are NOT going to accept the increases, having already ditched Zoopla.....£25.50 per enquiry ( good or bad)....No thank you!

COME on Google, hurry up & get your property portal rolled out

Propertylive will only ever allow members on the portal and so it wont work as there will not be enough properties on their for the property buyer.
Why doesn’t EAT set up their own one and create a super portal with all the agents listing property with them. I’d be up for it if we had some control.

If we all had the guts to turn round and say no like we have to Digital they would have to reconsider.

As a group we have huge power. we just have to have the guts to say nooooooooo.

If more Agents used the NFOPP's FREE website propertylive.co.uk, these paid for portals would start having a very hard time. All you NFOPP members out there, get using propertylive.co.uk!!

Their TV ad is pretty terrible and i can't imagine has been worth the increase in our fees - nice to see that this price hike was totally missed by the impartial EAT...

What about the recent 30%+ price hikes from Rightmove? Presumably needed to fund the dreadful TV adverts.
