Facebook business Property Network is to open in Leeds, taking over the former offices of Dacre Son & Hartley, one of Yorkshire’s oldest estate agents.
Property Network, formerly Property Place, says the offices are needed to accommodate new staff as the business expands.
By the end of this year, it plans to employ over 50 people – up from the current 30 it now employs in London and Leeds.
Property Network, which has set out its stall as a head-to-head competitor of Rightmove and Zoopla but using social media, was launched just under three years ago by Sohail Rashid. It has recently secured a seven-figure investment sum from backers.

PeeBee, it was a joke my friend!
'Paul' - I'm afraid THAT story will never get column inches anywhere.
"Going the extra mile" instead of just completing the minimum standards your vendors should reasonably expect from their Agent might just get you a mention somewhere... ;o)
What happened to Dacres, moved or shut down?
@Paul, we launched a news story about how we all turned up for work on time one day, and we all left at closing time. I though that would get on here.
Congrats. Great social app
How about posting a snippet of your MUCH better news so we can all judge.
If Ros Renshaw is supressing your great stories in favour of Mr Rashid I think we would all like to know what is going on.
This is frustrating, its not latest news, ive sent in MUCH better news than this and it never gets listed, im sure there is something going on here!!
Busy spending the VC money on sales staff, offices and buying leads for the unsustainable platform that still only has a few hundred users. the bull merchant rides again!
Err, is this a story?
