Chesterton Humberts has appointed Allan Collins, financial director of Savills, as its new chief financial officer.

Collins was with Savills for 14 years, during which time he oversaw a rapid growth in the business’s turnover and office network and was instrumental in raising funds to spin off and list the Savills in-house marketing team on the AIM market, where he remains as a non-executive director.

He will be using his expertise and experience in the property industry to support Chesterton Humberts’ continued expansion in the UK and overseas, and help the company maintain and improve its margins.

He said: “With a strong national and international brand, and a successful network of offices and contacts, Chesterton Humberts is well placed to benefit from a further expansion of its UK and international businesses. I am joining Chesterton Humberts at a great point in its history, and look forward to being a part of these exciting plans.”

Robert Bartlett, CEO of Chesterton Humberts, said: “This is the next step in our expansion and development plans.

“We have delivered good results in a challenging economic environment and Allan will be helping us to deliver the next stage of our strategic objectives and take us into further expansion and development.”
