The Estate Agency Foundation has announced the five charities for the homeless that it will be supporting this year – and Shelter is not on the list.

This year’s charities are:

Hope4 based in Rugby
Trinity Winchester
Centrepoint
Doncaster Housing for Young People
Thames Reach

The EAF, which aims to raise £250,000 this year, is also asking for nominations for other good causes to support alongside these five.

It said it is keen to support regional organisations that can make a real difference to the local community.

Bill McClintock, chairman of the EAF said: “We are really looking forward to be working with these charities in 2013.

“All are involved in hugely important work and in these tough times, we realise that the support we can give is invaluable. We are looking forward to working hard to reach our fundraising target of £250,000.”

The foundation raised over £157,000 last year, an increase of more than 80% on the 2011 total.
