With doom and gloom rampant, congratulations seem to be in order to Cornish agents Lillicrap Chilcott who claim to be cheerfully bucking the trend by making almost a sale a day.

The agents have just sold the cottage which was ‘home’ to Doc Martin in the TV series, for around the £500,000 guide price.

The Truro-based firm says it is currently making sales at the rate of almost one a day.

In the first 63 working days of this year, it says it agreed 61 sales, including six which all exchanged in one day.

Isn't that 150 days. Anyhow, 74 online sales, that must have made you at least £7400. Remember, you also get the cheapskates T

I'm not surprised. We have also been selling a house a day. In fact more...As of today we have agreed sales on 74 houses since the start of the year, which is out of 109 instructions in the same period. With a fall through rate of just 15% as well...! Online Estate Agents are the future my fellow high street friends - we get all the serious sellers because they pay us up front!
