Our weather might be cooling down, but competition for next year’s ESTAS competition is hotting up again.
The ESTAS, sponsored by Zoopla, are the most coveted awards in the UK property industry because shortlisted and winning agents are decided purely on the ratings provided by customers when completing an online survey.
This year 25,000 sellers, buyers and landlords filled out the questionnaire rating the level of customer service provided by their agent.
Every agent office that takes part competes in one of 14 regions across the country, ensuring their success can be exploited properly at a local level, but there are also national awards for best office and chains of different sizes.
“We all know next year is going to be a very busy one for agents,” said Simon Brown, owner of the ESTAS, “but that means there will be more competition than ever from existing and new competitors.
“It’s essential that agents set themselves apart from competition locally, and just being seen to take part in the ESTAS helps to do that. It sends a clear message to customers and other agents that you’re serious about customer service and you’re ready to prove it.”
Every agent that takes part can market their participation straight away with an ESTAS promotion pack. There are also a host of benefits including monthly client feedback reports and some great features including a new auto tweet facility where agents can tweet feedback comments from customers, helping them increase their social media profile.
“Now until the end of the year is the perfect time for agents to sign up and get feedback from clients they have worked for during 2013,” said Brown.
“With votes expected to exceed 30,000 the ESTAS will provide an extremely powerful marketing tool for agents taking part.”
Sales and letting agents have until December 31 to enter, and clients have until the end of January to vote. The best rated agents will be shortlisted in the 14 regions next March.
The winners will be announced at the 11th annual ESTAS ceremony at the Hilton on Park Lane on Friday May 9, by Phil Spencer.
