Staff at Badger Holdings, parent company of Townends and Regents estate agents in the South-East, have raised nearly £80,000 for a children’s hospice.

After a year of fundraising throughout 2012, they presented a cheque for £79,144  to  Shooting Star CHASE.

The group has supported this charity for many years and chief executive Séamus Kavanagh said: “The level of support and generosity shown by our employees over the last 12 months has been truly inspirational.

“Having raised £100,000 from 2009-2011, last year’s target of £75,000 was certainly a tall order. All our employees have risen to the challenge.

“Events have included a skydive, assault course challenge, golf and football tournaments, runs, walks and cycle rides as well as our own lottery.”
