No sooner do we discover one iPhone App for estate agents than we’re into London bus territory.

Property Jungle has just launched an iPhone App which looks decidedly impressive. It costs a price-busting £995, has no expiry date and already has some users.

Agents looking to go into iPhone App territory should be aware that Apple has launched strict criteria requirements for allowing publication of a Realtor App: it must have a loan calculator built in, use their GPS system, have a link to a UK property RSS feed (not the agent’s) and a live feedback wall.

Property consultant Michael Day warned: “Some products being offered do not appear to have taken this into account. I have concerns that some agents may find that they have spent a lot of money trying to get ahead of the queue in using the latest technology only to find that they have a dead App on their hands.”

The Property Jungle App has this functionality built in and original versions are being upgraded this week.

Mike Smithson, managing director of The Property Jungle, said: “This new App is a significant step forward for the industry.”

umm.. sounds like only your company knows of this new rule, as I cant see one App here or the States that is following it.. you have some hard evidence to back your claim ??

It's great to see The Property Jungle innovating in this area. However, though iPhone users are possibly the most active mobile web users, they do not have a monopoly here in the UK.

What happens to all of the Windows Mobile, etc. users out there?

If you're going to develop a site to serve the mobile community, don't you want to try to reach everyone?

    It's a very tough call.
