Entries have now closed for the national conveyancing awards as voted for by readers of Estate Agency Today.

Richard Mathias of Law Firm Services, which organises the awards, says he has been delighted with the response.

He said: “We were taken aback by the volume of votes. We had over 250 votes with more than 50 different firms being  nominated.

“There are clearly lots of good conveyancers about.

“Contrary to popular belief, voting wasn’t dominated by the large factory conveyancers. They did get votes, of course, but so did many regional firms.”

The firms with the most votes in alphabetical order were Ashfords LLP, Frettons, Gaby Hardwicke, Shulmans (QCAS), Thomas Legal Group, Trethowans.

The winners will be announced at the award dinner on September 20. For details, go to www.lfsconveyancingawards.co.uk

    Hey - don't knock it.

If some of the other stories on this website are correct we'll be lucky to have 250 estate agents and conveyancers in the country let alone involved in another meaningless poll...

250 estate agent businesses voted - one vote per business? Not bad going, so I'd be interested to look at these law firms for a quote, and compare them.
