In this latest exclusive video interview, EAT’s video reporter Chris Buckler – an agent himself – chats with Peter Grant, chairman of the board at Openview – Powered by VTUK.
Grant will be a familiar name to many in the industry having been with Openview, previously known just as VTUK, for more than 32 years. He founded the estate agency software and IT firm in 1989 and now sits as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive of the Oxfordshire-based company he established, having stood down as Managing Director in 2018.
He still plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the business and remains its main media spokesperson.

In this video, which runs to just under five and a half minutes, he discusses the next generation of agency software, the importance of order, compliance, staffing and communications in generating significantly more profit, and the ethos behind Openview – manage, engage, automate – which stitches together eight elements of success for property and turns it into one ‘big tree of life’.
He also highlights the importance of automation, to help take away the tedious, mundane tasks from agents, and the need to embrace Open Banking and automated procedures to give agents more space to breathe.
