It’s actually an exciting new chapter for Countrywide and Connells group combined. You could see countrywide invested in and free from debt really turn a sharp corner by the end of 2021. Connells have announced that Countrywide and Connells businesses will run ‘materially in the same way’ once the acquisition completes. Countrywide name will stay and run similar to sequence group as a subsidiary of Connells.

Another highly biased fake news headline by Mr Norwood which no doubt will be supported by the doom and gloom army on here still convinced this company will be bust by autumn. Very positive move by the group looking to appoint a new CEO.

Great result for CW at 2020 Estas. Winning Gold in Sales and Lettings.

I think if you look at this in a non emotional way ( a lot of people have a real hatred for the board ) the position of CW now could be argued to be better than it was before Covid19. - Record low interest rates - Business rates relief - 30% of branches still closed (assuming these are the loss making and lowest performing) - Reduced pressure from bank to repay loans - government relief still offered - Business interruption loan available All of the above coupled with stamp duty relief leaves me to think the next 6/9 months will be happy days in the C Suite at CW. I can’t see this company entering administration in the short term (12 Months)... I heard they are starting recruiting again now, if this is true, it’s good to see a national employer getting back on their feet so quickly and providing employment when others are making redundancies. (Of course the majority of people on here won’t be even acknowledge this)

It will be interesting to see how reflective this is on their profit A lot of claim backs from HMRC and business interruption loans may see them actually be more profitable vs 2019 same period 70% branches open, be interesting to see what happens to the other 30%.....

Great headline - no substance. Why not talk about the CW share price increasing over the past few day’s? Think I might have missed this article.

Hmm This report seems to have missed the return to profitable growth part of the 2019 report? A great update from CW in a challenging market in 2019.

It will be interesting to see what their annual report says in a few weeks. There has been no profit warning issued. (Andrew you must be so disappointed knowing this) CW have a debt of 90m at the moment , paid down from 198m in 2018. In addition they hold a credit facility revised in July 2019 of 125m. Andrew, I would be interested to know where you establish your facts from, after all every post I see you comment upon relating to CW is incredibly negative. If the merge does not complete I can anticipate there will be further office closers and Roll ups internally. Knowing a few staff who work for CW (Management and above) there are no concerns at the moment internally and no restrictions placed on recruitment etc.

It was such a raging success they cut bonuses to celebrate. Surely Platt and Co have no longer than Another quarter to get results. The board have to be considering a vote of confidence on her leadership.
