Former Savills duo set up new agency in “most desirable county”

Two former directors of Savills in Cornwall have set up their own agency based near the county capital, Truro.

Shore Partnership has been formed by Ben Davies and Tim May, formerly associate directors at Savills; they are working with former Kernow Property Services director Andrew Berry.

Between them they have over 50 years’ experience in the estate agency business, all in Cornwall.

Their new agency will concentrate on mid, south and west Cornwall.

Davies says: "We believe Cornwall is the most desirable county in which to live and holiday, offering a fantastic lifestyle, great food and culture along with a thriving business community. We’ll draw on our collective experience in the industry with a strong focus on selling high-quality property in great locations. This will enable us to attract sellers and purchasers in all price ranges.”

May worked at Savills in Cornwall but is not the only agent in recent times to have left the company to set up an independent business.

In the spring of 2018 Jonathan Cunliffe, who had spent 25 years working in the county’s prime residential market, quit Savills to set up his own firm.
