An agent is hoping to win the yellow jersey for canny marketing by using customised signboards across areas of Yorkshire which hosted the Tour de France Grand Depart over the weekend.

Linley & Simpson will use the boards, which feature a cut-out of the Tour's yellow jersey, until the end of the event in three weeks' time.

They will be available to clients across all 10 of the independent agency's offices in Harrogate, Ripon, Wetherby, York, Ilkley, Saltaire, Wakefield, Roundhay, Horsforth and Leeds city centre.

"As a company with our roots firmly embedded in Yorkshire, we wanted to add our own dimension to the way the county is throwing its support behind this once-in-a-lifetime sporting occasion says director Will Linley.

Ten staff members geared up for the big event by donning lycra and taking part in a charity cycle ride, taking in the agency's network of offices in a near-100 mile ride. The money raised is going to the Martin House Children's Hospice at Boston Spa.

Good for them! It's nice to see agents giving back and getting involved in current events!
