The upsurge in the housing market has spurred a glut of expansions and promotions amongst estate agents throughout the country.
Rettie & Co, one of Scotland's largest independent agencies, have promoted Nick Watson and Max Mills to become directors from tomorrow, May 1. Max will become director of Edinburgh City Residential and Nick takes on the role of director of New Homes & Consultancy with a primary focus to oversee the New Homes Sales team.
Meanwhile Quarters of Leeds, a mainly lettings business set up by sister and brother team Jayne and Kris Carpenter, expects to grow its property portfolio by more than 60 per cent in 2014.
It has recruited Gemma Daley as property manager, responsible for landlord and tenant liaison. Janis Dunn joins as lettings manager responsible for sales and new business development, moving from Linley & Simpson where she was a lettings consultant.
And Darren Walter has been promoted to operations director of all five Waterfords branches at Camberley, Chobham, Fleet, Yately and Sunningdale, to create a unified approach to the company's operations. Darren won Best Manager at the Estate Agency of the Year Awards 2013.
