Carter Jonas has made two key acquisitions in Cambridge, arguably the hottest UK housing market outside of the M25.
The high-end agency has acq uired the New Square Holdings Group which comprises Bradshaws, a Cambridge sales and lettings agency, and Januarys, a planning consultancy. As part of the deal, Carter Jonas is also acquiring Januarys' development land business, based in Northampton.
The deal takes effort from January 30, and complements other Carter Jonas efforts to expand in the east of England - in recent years it has acquired Jeffersons Commercial and the rural business H W Dean.
The aim is to expand Cater Jonas influence in Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Peterborough, Long Melford and Northampton.
In the past 12 months or so Carter Jonas has been on the acquisition trail with a vengeance, taking south west London residential business Sullivan Thomas, Barnes-based agency Boileaus and Landon consultancy Planning Perspectives.
