Property website Zoopla is now targeting the developer sector of the property market and has appointed Chris Browne as head of new homes.
With over 20 years of experience from the estate agency and new home developer sectors, Browne was most recently a sales director at the Mirror-owned Smart New Homes where he spent five years.
His departure follows that of Smart New Homes managing director David Bexon.
At Zoopla, Browne will be responsible for overseeing the continued growth of the new homes channel.
Launched two years ago, Zoopla has grown organically and by acquisition (notably, of Propertyfinder and Think Property) and vies with the Digital Property Group (owner of Primelocation and Findaproperty) to be the second most visited property portal after Rightmove.
Zoopla CEO Alex Chesterman said: “We are delighted to welcome Chris to the team. Having established ourselves as one of the most important and highly valued marketing partners for estate agents across the UK, we are now beginning to replicate this success with developers.”

So - Zoopla finally realise that revenue from one builder site = several Estate Agency offices...
Any Agents thinking that RM, etc are screwing THEM should look at the card rate for developers!
Yet they still get away with it... ;0)
