Two estate agency employees have resigned from their jobs at Savills after one of them was allegedly caught at night-time in a vendor’s property.

Theowner of the empty house, in the west country,  discovered the male agent coming downstairs from a bedroom after checking on it one night.

He reported the incident to Savills, which then launched a disciplinary inquiry, but before it could reach a conclusion, he resigned whilst denying any impropriety.

Speculation mounted, however, that he had been meeting a female colleague at the house for a secret liaison, when she suddenly quit at the same time.

One source told ‘The Sun’ newspaper: “They weren’t caught doing anything but had both been to the house and they weren’t going there to show anyone around.”

A Savills  spokesman confirmed the story.

Is this really something new? I am aware of a situation where owners emigrated to Australia leaving their Hotel empty and on the market, and the agents had 2 years of Xmas Parties at the house!

Hi Gill. I'm with all the hard working Estate Agents too! Just goes to show there is no need for Estate Agents to join the "Mile High Club" to get their kicks! What was the postcode of the property in question? I'll set my SatNav!

Being an estate agent in todays market is highly stressful. We need all the perks we can get! This was a brilliant marketing ploy by two ambitious negotiators. These guys should be reinstated.

Isn't that why Estate Agents are given a key?

This is not unknown! It is common knowledge these naughty negotiators get up to all sorts in client properties!

Definitely Sun material and possibly News of the World as well! The temptation was obviously too great - just goes to show that even Estate Agents are human!
