The ESTAS, the industry awards scheme which is unique in that it recognises the best agents in the country based purely on votes from customers, has received a record number of registrations for 2011.

Over 400 estate and letting agents will now compete to find out who provides the best customer service to their clients in 14 regions across the UK.

Agents can still register up to midnight this Friday.

Clients then have until  March 1 to register votes. Over 10,000 votes have already been registered by sellers, buyers and landlords for their agents.

Simon Brown, owner of the ESTAS, said: “This year will be more competitive than ever for both sales and lettings. ESTAS agents understand that the client feedback and client endorsement we can provide gives them an edge over competitors for the year ahead.”

The ESTAS awards bash take place at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London on Friday, April 15.

EAT is the official media partner for ESTAS. The awards are also sponsored by Zoopla in association with HomeLet, Rayner Recruitment, Moneypenny and RICS.

Oh dear Monkeytennis, could it not just be that the lettings industry is finally becoming more and more predominant every year, and new records are being set because the awards and the industry have seen significant growth? Why, so cynical?

Every year seems to set a new record. Maybe they should think of changing the record, my 4 year old daughter could make a more imaginitive sales pitch,
