Kirstie Allsopp, who helped the Conservatives with their review of the estate agency market, is on a list of possible new peers that the Tories would create. Perhaps it's to thank her for her work on something that never saw the light of day.
The name of the Location, Location presenter was apparently revealed by Mandate – the company that does PR for the NAEA, ARLA and one of the tenancy deposit protection schemes, among others.
We think this is very interesting and would like EAT readers to suggest other worthy nominations from the property world.
How about Lord Kent of Gerrards Cross to start with?
Step forward Baroness Kirstie of somewhere or other

I really fancy her, well fit, talks alot of cobblers and knows sod all about houses but my god try watching her with the volume off and its okay
That wouldn't be the Kirsty Allsopp who, on national TV last night (well, Channel 4...) advised a couple to put an offer in on a property that they didn't want just to dump it if they secured the house they actually wanted in the first place, would it?
Hmmm... where would THAT failed transaction have shown on the Pro-HIPs/Anti-HIPs 'statistics', I wonder?? Totally irresponsible advice from a supposedly informed and professional person. I would bestow upon her the title "Lady Muck of Car-crash TV"...
Please..... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Baroness Jacqui Smith of London and Redditch ......
(or should that be Redditch and London.....?)
Was it Oscar Wilde who first described MP's 2nd Home allowances as "LHA on Crack Cocaine" ?
It appears that Kirstie also been awarded the Order of the Bath...
I was going to write some thing but words fail me........
If Kirstie Alsopp is a likely peer then I would suggest that Donald Duck would make an admirable peer also.
Whatever next? I really do hope that the tories have more sense than to continue the celeb culture started by Teflon Tony - God help us all!!!
