Rightmove had a purple moment this year – with a property, spectacularly decked out in that colour, attracting no fewer than three million views.

We would like to say you can add to them, if you like, by going here:

However, as you can see, the agent has removed the Middlesex property from Rightmove, so presumably it has either found a buyer or is being repainted in shades of magnolia and taupe.

The purple house had easily the most views on Rightmove this year, says the site, which also reveals that its busiest day this year was August 13 (a Tuesday), with over 36m views.

Rightmove, which currently sits at seventh in the UK’s top ten websites, also says that inquiries to agents increased by 11% this year, and that three in ten email inquiries are now sent from a mobile device.

Apparently, the number of pages viewed on Rightmove has so far topped 13bn, up 20% on the whole of 2012.

July was the busiest month for traffic, and Tuesday lunchtimes are apparently where it’s at for the most hits.

We’re not surprised: Sunday is when you have The Conversation, Monday is when you Think About It, and Tuesday is when you Start Doing Something.

There’s a novel here somewhere, possibly the first ever that combines Rightmove, relationship counselling, pre-nuptial agreements, who gets custody of the dog, and murder – complete with a ferocious domestic about Zoopla’s house pricing model and a cliff-hanger in the form of Agents’ Mutual.

Indeed, with a bit of spare time on my hands, I may even write it.
