Rightmove is the most active of the property portals in its use of social media.

Research company Greenlight has monitored the number of Facebook posts and Twitter tweets published by UK property portals.

Rightmove was the most prolific with 174 Facebook posts and 215 tweets.

Zoopla followed with 31 Facebook posts and 115 tweets, while Primelocation was third with 12 Facebook posts and 19 tweets.

    Peter M - Read whast I said. The report listed, it is claimed, the number of Twitter AND Facebook updates in a given period. You refer only to Twitter.

    Remember what David Cameron said - "Too many Twits make a tw@t..."!

    Can I just point out that I bear radarhomes no malice, by the way. The opposite, in fact. The concept is good - and I watch with interest whether its' (self)predicted expansion to offer real competition to RM etc will materialise. I do wonder, however, (and judging by previous stories I am certainly not alone in this...) how it or any other can believe they can take on the might of these portals.

    FYI, my posts are always positive - sometimes positively rude; other times positively arrogant... and in this instance, I am positively correct! ;0)

    @Peebee

    FYI Globrix would easily make top in terms of twitter use; and they are not even mentioned. Indeed, Radarhomes would have made second if counted.

    These results are inaccurate at best.

    There you go, a 'negative' to a positive. It wasn't even a negative to start with anyway, as any social media coverage is good coverage.

    Turning your comments across this portal into a positive; now that you WOULD struggle with.

    Cheers.

    To get a following people have to be interested. On the radio this morning Cricketers Twitters small following as they are not out spoken and no one interested, hence no showing for Radar but there is for rightmove. No interest.Even in this balant add below not blog.

    Peter M - the report did not say that these were the only three portals which use SM - it only listed the top three.

    If you ask nicely, they may tell you how far DOWN the list radarhomes featured...

    This is one negative you will struggle to turn into a positive, so maybe it shouldn't have been raised in the first place.

    The portals mentioned are not the only ones that use social media:
