The Digital Property Group, whose sites include Primelocation and FindaProperty, attracted an additional 895 new estate agent branches in the third quarter of 2009.

Of these, 64% were new customers and 36% were returning customers.

Sales director Jon Notley said the figures reflected improved agent confidence, rising house prices and improving consumer perceptions over the period.

Within this three-month period, 44% more estate agents began advertising in September than in July.

Notley said: “The outlook, although uncertain, is starting to look more positive for estate agents.”

I agree Trevor, they are not acting as estate agents and should not be allowed on those websites.

I wonder how many of those sites that have joined are the virtual agent websites that only visit once (some not even that) and then upload to TDPG sites. I spoke to TDPG this morning and I was told that i could not join because I do not conduct viewings, I doubt either a London based agent would travel to Aberdeen for a viewing either. Its a load of old tosh and is unfair to agents who do the job properly.
