Conveyancing firm Myhomemove gave out 159 prizes of points to estate agents in its ‘summer of sport’ competition which took place during the Olympics.

Participants were randomly ‘awarded’ events across all disciplines of the games and if Team GB were medal winners, the introducer was awarded points according to whether it was a gold, silver or bronze medal.

Agency staff from 62 different companies were winners, with Andrews, Goadsby, Intercounty and London & Country particularly ahead of the game.

The promotion, which was part of the myrewards scheme, also featured a daily quiz question which was posted online.

Some of these questions were answered within milliseconds of them being published and within ten minutes there would always be at least 50 answers.

Myhomemove now anticipate a huge surge in the redemption of points. Among the many options, introducers have previously enjoyed holidays (including a honeymoon!), Red Letter days, and items such as watches and ipads.

Stephen Hayter, myhomemove’s sales director, said: “Myrewards is our way of saying thank you at a personal level to our introducers. We take nothing for granted, and are happy to provide a means of rewarding everyone with gifts of their own choosing. It has been a significant reason for myhomemove’s success in recent years.”
