The number of house sales in November was the highest of the year – but failed to boost transactions for the first 11 months of this year to 2010 levels.
There were 85,000 sales in November, according to HMRC – a rise from 79,000 in October and up from 76,000 in November last year.
But in the first 11 months of this year, there were only 787,000 house sales – down from 810,000 in the same period last year.

Sorry I am away from my PlayStation in a tent at St Pauls, I will respond with twaddle, as you would expect, on my return when mummy collects me.
That’s still 787,000 people who have stuck two fingers up to all the children HPC who infest this site and many have managed to buy their own home , which that lot are so annoyed and jealous of they post such anger.

Less than 3% drop in transactions in a year of extreem credit restriction and job insecurity etc. etc. Although I am not a fan of averages that does not seem very significan!
Many other businesses would be very encouraged at such a small reduction in their business?
Well there is not much christmas cheer in this story an Annus Horribilis for many...although i went from unhappy chappy to Happy Chappy......I hope others do too.
