Have a merry, not manic, Christmas

Will you be enjoying a silent night over Christmas? Or will the school carol concert, your Christmas dinner or the countdown to New Year be disturbed by your mobile phone going off? The stark truth is those not prepared for the festive period will have to work unsociable hours and Bank Holidays, while the smart and organised will be enjoying themselves.  The only person who should be on-call over Christmas is Santa.

The lettings and property management industry does not go into hibernation over the Christmas holiday. In fact, it is one of the peak times for things to go wrong. However, lettings agents who choose to delegate their property management responsibilities to ARPM will be enjoying the season of goodwill (as they will for every other holiday season) knowing their business is being taken care of by a professional and trustworthy outsource partner.

"Christmas coincides with inclement weather so we're likely to see an increase in tenant calls relating to boiler breakdowns, waterlogged guttering and blocked chimneys. There's also the issue of tenants leaving their property empty for a prolonged period of time while they visit family or take a vacation. A burst pipe or missing roof tile can cause catastrophic damage, so ensuring someone responsible is at the end of the telephone is crucial," says Dave Hunt - ARPM Property Management's Business Development Director.

The property management clients ARPM works with have total peace of mind that every single one of their rental properties is being looked after by a team of qualified and experienced property professional, allowing them to really relax without worrying that the on-call phone might go off. As well as a tenants' emergency helpline, the ARPM property management service also covers pre-tenancy administration, rent collection and planned maintenance.

Dave Hunt concludes: "We'd like to wish all of our past, present and future clients a very, merry Christmas. We know it has been an incredibly busy year for the lettings industry, so everyone deserves to put their feet up. And it's not too early to give yourself a Christmas present by partnering with us here at ARPM. We can take the pressure off, granting you a hassle-free 2014."
