Accreditation firm Elmhurst Energy is the latest to have written to DEAs warning them about EPC firm PayOnTheDay.

The Elmhurst Accredited logo appears on the PayOnTheDay website, but Elmhust says in its letter that the logo is being used without permission, and that requests for its immediate removal have met with no response.

The letter adds: “We are also concerned to learn that PayOnTheDay allegedly have links with NextDayEPC, a similar operation who have been criticised for the non-payment of invoices submitted by energy assessors who have undertaken work for them.”

The EPC market is a mess, with all these cowboy providers and people undercutting each other, it drive's me nuts.

I even heard of an EPC provider who has just been fined £2000 (max £5000) (estate gazette) for disclosing an EPC to an agent for an 'admin' fee of £15.00. The EPC was not even carried out by himself and wasn't even produced in his area.

If the EPC lasted 3 years instead of the ten years, this wouldn't be so bad.
