'Game-changer' agency converts branch into pop-up shop for new homes

One of the many estate agencies hoping to market increasing numbers of new homes has been praised by a developer client for its ‘game-changer’ approach.

Haslams has transformed a new branch office in Reading into a pop-up shop to market off-plan sales for a 2,000-home Crest Nicholson scheme called Arborfield Green in Berkshire.

The newly-renovated 6,000 square foot branch now hosts a large model of the first phase of the development as well as utilising an 18ft video wall and four 55-inch LCD bright screens to transform the premises into a sales suite for Crest Nicholson.

“Developers always face a challenge in selling their new homes off-plan during the early construction stages when there’s no space for a temporary sales cabin, so we designed our innovative office with off-plan launch events in mind” says Mike Shearn, head of new homes at Haslams.

"The large open reception area is perfect for presentations, while the lower level offers more privacy for one-to-one meetings to conclude sales. It has revolutionised the services we can offer to our clients” claims Shearn.

“Haslams’ innovative approach was fantastic. It’s worked incredibly closely with us to ensure the launch was a success, even bringing its whole team down to the construction site shortly before to see first-hand the scale of the development - it’s a real game-changer for how we plan to launch off-plan developments in the future” according to Mary Timlin, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson.
