With bot a property and tech background, I took up as an LPE with PB last year. The software they use is really no more than an online diary, coupled with listing pages that feed to portals. It's the business model that's driving it, including the way the LPE / LLE gets paid. Will have a look at Hystreet, there's definitely a gap for a white labelled version of this for sure, but PB is not a tech heavy company so will not be threatened by tech clones. Using something like Hystreet and adapting the business module is the best way ahead for those that can.

You're right Lenny, but most security breaches are still initiated by human factors - written password copies etc. The attacks that make the headlines tend o be looking for volume information that can be used for fraud in other areas. IoT in particular is a problem that can only compound that risk (this is my favourite - http://www.zdnet.com/article/target-hackers-hit-air-conditioning-firm-first-as-a-way-in/). there is no such thing as a 100% risk free system, digital or otherwise. Electronic signature especially with two factor authorisation will be a tremendous tool to help and industry that suffers from appalling and usually inexplicable delays.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. They are presently trying to get teir LPE's / LLE's (lettings carries carries a massive risk and that is easily the most cavalier area} to provide evidence, but if its not forthcoming thwy wont cancel the agreement because they are having trouble recruiting people.

The guys on the ground are all self employed - its commission only sales (well, listings). They are encouraged, if not forced tpo sub-licence territories once they have built them. The coverage they are achieving may not be very stable, and the model is fraught with problems for the individual on the ground.

I know for a fact that they are having a panic over the lettings guys not having the mandatory quals, memberships like redress etc. Cousin being chased. Masses spent on sales ads but next to nothing on processes, technology (looks like just a big diary) and other stuff youd thiink a big compnay would be careful off. Not just a busines model question a quality question.
