Hi Mark, Just a little information regarding our letting agency, we were one of the first agents to join OTM when it launched and at first we had very few inquiries, but now the inquiries from OTM out number Zoopla 3 to 1. I can't wait until our contract is up with Zoopla as I am paying nearly 3 times the amount to Zoopla compared to what we pay to OTM. Regards Rob Jones

Hi all, I started my letting agency In may 2006 and with other agents in South West Wales we joined ONTHEMARKET when it launched and I have no regrets. Its taken time but we now have a 65-35 split between OnTheMarket and Zoopla. I have said before Rome was not built in a day and new portals take time to establish themselves. It has been said in the media that OnTheMarket had no chance, but its still around and is getting stronger!!! If we want to stop Rightmove and Zoopla from hiking fees we all need to get behind OntheMarket as its cheaper and to be honest has a better web site for our clients to browse.

I for one will stick with OTM, as the leads we receive now outnumber the leads we get from Zoopla Regards Rob Jones

Hi all, We started our letting agency In 2006 and at first used our local paper to advertise, we then set up our web site, and also used the local radio. Over the years we dropped our local paper and radio, and have used a couple of on line property portals but only when OTM started did we sign up for a regular yearly contract. We also along with other agents in the area signed up with Zoopla, and although we have never advertised with Right Move most of the other agents dropped Right Move. After signing up with OTM and Zoopla we had a number of prospective tenants ask if Right Move were going bust as when they looked at the Right Move site there were only 13 properties for rent. I replied no they have' gone bust it's just that most of the agents locally have decided to market their properties first with OTM and then 24 to 48 hours later with Zoopla. Since we started with OTM it had started as a slow trickle of inquiries from OTM, but with our staff talking to prospective tenants about telling them about OTM we have found that we as an agency have passed a tipping point where we get around 55 OTM Inquiries compared to 45 from Zoopla. My belief is that it is up to the agents to drop all other portals and the only way prospective buyers and renters can get the details will be through OTM. I know it will take a while for all of us to commit to OTM, but Rome was not built in a day. Regards to you all Rob Jones
