Best and finals only work if the seller puts in writing no more offers. If my best and final is refused I can re offer the next day and legally this has to be put forward. Most buyers would not use an auction - auctions are for properties hard to sell. Private treaty will always get more money.

Guardian Money investigation has uncovered fake reviewing on an almost industrial scale, with companies paying offshore contractors to post numerous glowing accounts of their activities, yet maintaining they are from unbiased consumers. Many of the fake reviews uncovered by Money were written by computer science specialists in countries such as Bangladesh, India and Indonesia, who, for a relatively low fee, will write and send false reviews using scores of aliases and fake addresses. Many offer their services to western companies on Freelancer.com, which promotes itself as an international website on which you can "outsource anything you can think of". Companies simply post their requirements and wait for freelancers to start bidding for the work.

The daily mail is renowned for being a right wing newspaper, as this website will be an OTM bashing website. We all know your view but it has to be forced down our throats with a different slant on a weekly basis. Your statement above this reply is much more impartial and a completely different track to all your other posts. The only way agents can take back control of the way their stock is presented in a national portal is via OnTheMarket.com whose prime aim is to do the best for its paying customers rather than RM/Z whose only aim is to provide the biggest income they can for their shareholders.

From:

Am I right in saying Simon and Iain have a connection with Zoopla? Are you for portals who are looking to bleed agents nearly dry? OnTheMarket have done more in the first year than others in five years. Agents need to get behind OTM and make it a success, rather than be bullied by RM/Z If every agent left RM/Z today and joined OTM we would all still sell the same amount but have a lot more money in our pockets. Please be careful there are 'agents' on these websites who are paid by RM/Z I am not.

False economy - [paid to list] - Save £10k on fees but sell for £20k below a proper no fee no sale agent would get. These sellers choose a restaurant based on cost then get food poisoning. Another reason why agents need to leave zoopla [who fuels agents like this] and join OnTheMarket.com

Buyers don't only come from websites, some aren't actively looking when they spot a property. If you want to choose the best buyer you need the biggest net. Cheap fees will make agents cut corners. If rightmove offered it's own agency what would happen to call centre agents?

1. They trade on their low fees 2. Vendors will take the best an agent can do 90-95% of asking 3. Often gain more? Not in all my investigations 4. You get what you pay for - the public know the difference between a dinner at their local cafe and a dinner at a good restaurant - they also think call centre agent can do the same job as a full service agent.
