Rightmove has no standalone value and is a parasite that try’s to alter the thinking of its user base with propaganda adverts like this while we fear being without it, they rely on agents not the other way round, death to Rightmove! off with its head!

All them agents going back and doing board counts for letter bombshell! Email alerts sent from Rightmove marketing also act as click bait but based on my listings and stock, I’ve had a new year type wake up but mainly flirters many can’t get mortgage for 3 months due to furlough or now being told need larger deposit as low deposit products pulled. And people asking if they can get 10% off asking now the works shit

Propaganda ahoy, mottos from government, and good news stories for the public, let’s see what comes but probably a little boom initially pipelines will payout out on stalled and then we’ll be lockdown again by august with 100’s of cases against agents for cutting corners, and then we’ll see how prices will be effected.

They just trying to distract from the main fact they are no longer needed, unrivalled reach, we can all use google for that! Parasites on the parasites of parasites!

Not a company I’d be championing as a leader in the industry they are greed driven profiteers and cause more damage to the housing market than shitemove, let’s hope the company dies quietly like all the independents that they starved for shareholder greed and profit. I bet the ones asking to go back are the top end of the business not the poor buggers on low basics who deal with front of house. The virus is still deadly to a small amount of the population and restrictions need to stay in place anyone saying otherwise does not have the best interests of those at risk in mind. The market is still open apart from a lack of confident buyers, the industry can survive as long as lenders can lend and solicitors can convey, Ive done plenty valuations in last 4 weeks, ensured safeguarded viewings can be done, I’m a business owner tho and don’t risk my staff who are all working from home dealing with what they can while I take the risk and keep the options open to those who need it, I’ve lost 4 sales out of 50 so far mainly down to fear and my lettings side is helping local government house urgent cases, those who can help help and work it out without begging to in pocket ministers and crying about loss of profits when the government have safeguarded for a reason.

Should have delisted them first and removed data and floor plans etc as the data worth more to them as other agents use it on Rightmove plus - alway remove pictures any attachments and info inc measurements before closing the feed, if done like that they loose the data

The stamp duty would be great, but onus on buyers to respect the potential different conditions of viewing each property and wearing any protection they feel they need ie gloves and masks, vendors and agents haven’t stopped it’s just the buyers that need stimulating to buy at top heavy prices in near recession times.

Down to Rightmove! the pol pot of property portals, it’s on its last legs with no user satisfaction and no market place to manipulate! How the shitey have fallen.

I think when you weigh it up at times like this they have responsibility to adjust there costs according to the economical climate, why should a private company be allowed to charge or take more than the tax man does from agents, anyone crying for business relief should be told Rightmove isn’t an essential service so don’t fork out for it if you can’t afford it, like dole claimants and sky tv!

Maybe we should all just stop allowing fake news headlines and take time to see what’s what, if you tell people that’s going to happen they’ll make it happen, just enjoy some good new stories and stop mentioning portals in storages they don’t need the promotion or attention when they scaring people and the industry.

As a letting and estate agent I’m still helping local councils, buyers and renters with accommodation, got a pipeline to keep in contact with and jobs to do to catch up while quiet have my staff remotely positions across area and have safeguarded with viewing contact, the minute things stop the harder it will be to get it moving again zoopla currently ringing out as many people as it can to try snide Into the minds of people again. Be safe and be sensible with what yr doing but dont stop if you can keep going without contact!

They should go down with Grace like the rest of the uk agents forced to over pay with regulation, overheads and of course on Rightmove, why should business rates be lifted and taxation denied in a time of need when they pay an obscene amount to a private company they created for marketing? Pull off Rightmove a fortune and then crack on! Then other agents will be brave enough to stick the finger up to the shitemove corona defer option. Can’t be a corporate power and lead the market and then beg for hand out coz you can’t get ur 2.2% fees and keep the shareholders happy.

And that’s just with a lack of confidence wait until the real effects hit home and PB aren’t getting sign ups - pipelines diminish and prolonged pay offs aren’t expected to bolster long term. It’s not even begun to fall apart yet, this is just the worry.

Rightmove won’t last that long if this virus runs a seasonal flu corse, the next few months will be the slow down while uk is enjoying summer, when traditional flu season is upon us and the recession has hit, people are widley effected and the capitalist wheel that shitemove rely on is broken they’ll be begging people to pay less to market with them, and at that point they’ll forget the agents paying there fees and go straight to the homeowners. Capitalism will be the worse hit by the virus.

Rightmove effectively make cartel prices by having set price structures, they control fee structures at most agency’s and reduce buyer and vendor choice in agents, if two agents arranged prices they’d be banned for cartel actions. Portals should be paying agents for the data they get and the traffic listings bring to there sites, agents are too stupid to get themselves out of problems but if they just stop using Rightmove the buyers will look elsewhere! And there would be a better industry and market place for it, anti Rightmove action should start with a month of removing listings and paying the 1800quid to a charity, if every agent did that we’d solve a feck load of social problems and show Rightmove who had the power.

its Just the Zoopla call out affect, they called me and said it’s pretty much free to come with us for a fixed period to see how we can help you, when I declined they asked what terms I’d like! I’m still getting more leads off boards and on the market than I am Rightmove this year on both sales and lettings

Both are there for there own gain and not consumer guidance, GetAgent doesn’t even tell users if they chose an agent via there agent has to pay 0.25% to GetAgent! my local vendors ring me directly coz they know I’d prefer to offer them a deal that pay the 3rd party for some stars they nicked from land registry and portal listings!
